Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing the strictest guidelines regarding these cases. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted also The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
